Our Mission
Our mission is to play music and have fun (in no particular order)
About the Band
Central Texas group, All the Lost was formed in the spring of 2005. Three of the members Russell Black (bass), Bryce Clark
(guitar), and Brandi Belle (fiddle) met while performing in a popular local dance band. Growing tired of Top 40 country, they
set out on their own, picking up Layne Wylie (banjo) along the way. All the Lost have developed a unique sound, drawing from
each members individual influences. While many people would call them a bluegrass band, because they feature fiddle and banjo,
All the Lost consider themselves Alt. Country. Their original music confirms this. All the Lost includes Russell Black who
picked up the guitar at the age of 14 and was playing with bands in the Temple area by 16. He was in a band with two guitarists,
the bass player quit, and Russ was forced to switch instruments. His main influence is his dad, who taught him to play, and
others to numerous to mention. Russell is a medical photographer at Scott and White. Seventeen year old Bryce Clark was born
in Germany. He began playing seriously at the age of 14, and was performing with local bands soon after. He cites his major
influences as the McKay Brothers and Uncle Tupelo. Bryce is a home schooled senior, who hopes to pursue music as a career.
Layne Wylie and Brandi Belle are brother and sister. Layne picked up the banjo at age 12, and Brandi began playing fiddle
at 16. Their family band traveled and performed at bluegrass festivals. Layne is a machinist at Texas A and M University,
and says his major influences are Fleetwood Mac and Bread. Brandi attended McLennan Community College, where she graduated
with a degree in Commercial Music Performance. She currently studies violin at Temple College, and hopes to be a professional
fiddle player in the future. She considers Bob Dylan and Stephane Grapelli her biggest influences. All the Lost share singing
and songwriting duties, so their sound is always fresh.
